History and Ideals

We are a small stud established in 1995 in the Northern part of Jutland. In 1989 we bought our first welsh mountain pony by accident as we need a pony to ride, and we could not resist buying Edelweis Kamille (Garbo Elmebjerg x Edelweis Silvia) when we saw her. Edelweis Kamille was a very special character and succesfull as show jumping pony always getting 1st prizes. She sadly passed away in 1996 due to a broken leg. Edelweis Kamille got one foal by the sec.B stallion Møllegaards Sputnik which is now a riding pony. We also got another mare of unknown origin which got two foals by Møllegaards Sputnik. One of which is a very good riding pony in Sweden (see performance ponies).

In 1996 we decided to move on and bought some sec.A and B ponies in Holland and United Kingdom to start a stud. All ponies has been shown and graded with success. The absolute highlight in inhand showing must when the 2-year-old filly Clausholm Silica (Rhydspence Squire x Clausholm Saphira) was send to Wales to be shown. She was very successfull culminating with a red rosette at the biggest and most prominent show for welsh ponies: The Royal Welsh Show. We are very proud to have produced some very good performance ponies, e.g. the gelding Clausholm Scorpio (Telynau Souza x Warmwell Safra) which has won the Belgian Championship in eventing (CNP90).

All ponies are bred and raised as natural as possible. From March/April to November they are in grazing in groups on large natural habitats close to the Limfjord. The mares often foals outside in the groups, and the stallions run out with the mares. All ponies are

transported to and from the grazing areas. During the Winter the ponies are stabled in groups in barns where they have free access to hay, minerals/vitamins and water. The foals are weaned, handled and feed hard corn and free hay. During the Winter and in case of need the farrier do their hooves.

We hope you will enjoy surfing around this website. If you have any questions, comments or wishes to see the ponies just contact us.
